(b)Rickettsia montanensis-infected Vero cells (magnification ×10000). The diameters of healthy and infected Vero cells were 6.65 μm and 11.11 μm, respectively. The membrane thicknesses were measured to be 16 nm and 18 nm, for the healthy and infected cells, respectively.
